Everything you hope for

I truly can’t say enough good about Leila. From the first phone call I had with her, it immediately became clear that she was who I wanted to have as my midwife. The more I learned about her, the more I loved! I agreed with her perspective on birth as a natural process and not a “medial emergency,” and I knew that with her I’d be able to have the home birth I’d been hoping for. She has the perfect balance of being so kind and down to earth and making you feel comfortable while also being very professional at the same time. She made me feel so confident and supported with any decisions I had to make, and I knew I could trust her expertise and advice. She was also so sweet with my two young daughters and would include them in my prenatal appointments and explain to them what she was doing in each step…they adored her! Prenatal visits always felt like visiting with a friend, and she would take the time to answer any questions or concerns I had…it never felt rushed or like I was “just a number” like at a typical doctor’s office. She went above and beyond to make sure both I and my husband felt completely supported, comfortable, and prepared for the birth. (My husband was also extremely impressed with Leila throughout the whole process!) When it came to the actual birth, Leila was amazing. She honored all my wishes and made sure her team did the same. She had such a calming and assuring presence, always making me feel confident that everything was fine the entire time. Leila continued to give the same incredible support for weeks into my postpartum, checking in on how recovery and breastfeeding were going. My daughter was born with multiple oral ties, and she even helped us navigate the process of having them evaluated and eventually revised. Again, I just can’t say enough good about Leila. She wasn’t just everything I’d hoped to find in a midwife..she was truly more than that! My family and I will always be so grateful for the experience we had with her.
