Angelica Ridaux-Williams, Student Midwife (Observe phase)
A proud BiPOC and LGBTQ+ native of southwest Louisiana, Angelica Rideaux-Williams found her calling in the wake of a traumatic, near-death birthing experience in her teenage years. That moment not only deepened her resolve to enter midwifery but also fueled her commitment to advocate for safer, more informed birthing options, particularly for young Black mothers. Already a trained doula, she has vowed to ensure her clients are educated about safe, physiological birthing options beyond hospital settings and that pregnancy care begins long before conception. She is passionate about empowering her clients through knowledge, compassion, and culturally responsive care, so they never have to endure what she experienced.
Student Midwives
Emma Roques, Student Midwife (Assistant Phase)
“ I have always had a passion for maternity care and childbirth. After graduating high school, I felt called to start my journey to become a midwife. I am currently attending Mercy in Action College of Midwifery and starting a clinical apprenticeship with Grace Midwifery Collective. My dream is make midwifery care more accessible to women, and to protect and support them throughout all stages of pregnancy.”
Molly Ford, Student Midwife (Primary Midwife under Supervision)
Molly Ford is passionate about providing care and support for women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. She has gained invaluable hands-on experience, particularly in home-birth settings & is a student at the College of Traditional Midwifery. Her passion for birth began during her time as an Air Force Medic, where she worked in labor and delivery. Years later, her journey into herbalism, holistic healing, and natural birth, inspired by spiritual midwifery & doula work solidified her calling to home-birth. She feels deeply connected to this path and remains committed to advocating for and supporting women choosing home-birth, recognizing it as her true passion. Her holistic approach to midwifery combines evidence-based practices with a deep understanding of natural and traditional healing methods. She continues to pursue her calling with the goal of empowering women to have safe, supported, and meaningful birth experiences.
Once she graduates and is licensed, Molly will provide midwifery services as Sundance Midwifery. For now, we are excited to support and offer her placenta encapsulation and placenta jewelry services while also helping shape her as a midwife!
